No adding some arcane number of inches which confuses the heck out of me! My Ingrid 32” band is the same size as a 36” in regular sizes. If you’re between sizes you can add or shave a little off the back wings to fit better.

Yup, I have no trouble commenting on Wordpress blogs as long as I don’t fill in my website address, just name and email. M...Thanks so much for the detailed answers Louisa!

My head was telling me that Bra Makers had a really good reason for sewing the center seam last. One of my favourite RTW bras was fully lined and it was so 'finished' looking on the inside. I've yet to fully replicate it...I've managed to figure out how to enclose the side seams using the burrito method and do pretty good with enclosing the cup lining.

I don't have my numbers in front of me, but I think my size might be the same as yours. Maybe a 30 band, but I want to go longer because I find by day's end that my current makes feel tight in the band.

I switched to wordpress a few years back. At the time, I was frustrated with some blogger issues. After I moved, I had moments where I missed the simplicity of blogspot...but mostly, I'm really happy. I'm a dot org blog...I don't think I could have done it without G's help. However, for the most part I handle everything on my own now. If you have questions, we might be able to help, but I think you'll do just fine!

I am wondering if I have people that can't comment on my blog? You will have the happiest lingerie drawer when you are done!

I am sorry that you are having such trouble with Blogger... I use it quite happily, but then I have an ANCIENT desktop computer for my blogging. When I have tried to use my phone, it is horrible and difficult, though I suspect it to be more because of the phone, which is also pretty venerable. I will say that those of my online sewing pals who use Wordpress usually don't get any comments from me, because often that platform requires you to sign in to Wordpress somehow before you can comment. I don't know if that is a function of WP or something that can be customised. Anyhow, good luck, I would hate to not see your assorted images and read your tales of lifeAlisonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01994300004330705947noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12698509.post-57333445719685985052019-02-01T18:29:58.950-08:002019-02-01T18:29:58.950-08:00You are awesome! On the pattern front - I haven't bought one in eons & don't intend to because they'er never big enough in the bust. I found several that I loved years ago, spent time making them fit a G bust & never bothered buying any more. I made a couple of patterns from tops I bought & loved - just cut them up & ironed on interfacing & Bob's Your Uncle, a pattern that fits, more or less. Now that I'm old, I haven't sewed much in the last few years except knits.Took a couple of classes & learned how to make Knits that Fit - sooo much easier & the pattern is easier too. Shorts & Tees in the summer & Sweats & Tees in the winter - who needs anything else??? This is Vancouver!!! I have been considering a new iron as my last few have come from Goodwill thrift stores and don't steam at all, as pouring water into them it pours right out again as leaks... so I have been doing all my sewing with simply spraying water onto the part of the fabric that needs steam. I can't remember having an iron that produced steam, and I did get an Amazon gift card as a birthday present this year... Gets in my way & makes me feel 'trapped'. I have changed my whole wardrobe to heavy sweats in the winter when my basement is cold & shorts or leggings & tees in the summer when it isn't. Getting shoes & socks onto my right foot when my knee won't bend takes enough time so I've reverted to childhood clothes. LOL I must say, my heavy purple hoodie is so warm & comfy that I hate to take it off sometimes!!
Keep it up. You know what you like & what you want. Don't change! The closest I have ever come to that was making my own "sports bra" type bras, which were basically a smooth stretchy bodice with elastic, rather like a shelf bra in a swimsuit, and not for wearing under streetwear. Your sewing inspires me. I decided comfort & compression was the way to go in my old age. And no hooks, zips or fasteners to make my morning hands unhappy.
